I’m a transplant from the Midwest and love the sunshine in the mountains of Cache Valley. I received my Bachelor’s degree from Utah State University in Management and Human Resources as well as Political Science. I have been working in healthcare administration for eight years. I really enjoy working with Dr. Cheney in this family-friendly environment and like the emphasis here on the overall well-being of the patients. The supportive and encouraging team we have in place is great. I really enjoy getting to know our patients and I’m grateful for the friendships I have with many of them. I have come to love the dental field through a major reconstruction of my own teeth. I learned firsthand what a huge impact a person’s smile can have on his/her overall self-image and confidence. I am very happy to have the opportunity to be a part of helping patients’ experience the difference quality dentistry can make in their lives. I love life and learning. In my free time, I volunteer for programs in support of the youth in our community, enjoy reading, spending quality time with my family and meeting new people.

I have been a hygienist for Dr Cheney going on 15 years now. What I love most about my job is the people. I was raised in Mississippi, a real southern girl at heart. I chose to stay here in the West with all the beautiful mountains and seasonal changes. My husband John and I have four children between us, two grandchildren and a bichon dog named Annie and my cat named Lola. We love to go snowmobiling and boating. My passion is life right now is my two beautiful grandchildren, who call me Nana.

I graduated from Coastal Bend College in Beeville, Texas. Why did I pick Beeville, Texas to go to dental hygiene school? Maybe it was because my name means ‘honey bee!’ No, my husband and I had just gotten married and wanted to move far away to a new scene and have brand new experiences all our own! We have been married for eight wonderful years with two beautiful daughters and eight chickens! We love summer time, because it means bike rides, camping, parades, swimming and lots of family fun in the sun! Winter is as tolerable as it can be with toddlers and a husband working as a general contractor. Cold is fun when we’re bundled up for the slopes and building a snowman, two things we try and do a lot of! I love being a dental hygienist! I am a clean freak, so this job is perfect. I love my patients and their teeth! Being in the dental field was a dream I had since I was a little girl. In high-school I decided I’d become a dental hygienist because I could do two things I’ve always wanted to do, work with a dental team and be a mom.

I have been working with Dr. Cheney as his chairside assistant for fourteen years. I truely love coming to work each day. I enjoy what i do and the people i get to meet on a daily basis. I am the mom of a 14 year old daughter and a 10 year old son. They keep me busy with their love for volleyball, horses, soccer, basketball, and football.
In my spare time i enjoy a good run, reading and just hanging with my family.
